hi again

so uh. wow. okay. where do i start.

i'm alive? allegedly?

i didn't plan to completely abandon the webiste for an entire year. i just kinda didn't have anything to post. for the most part. i did have a blog written up about how haunted mtl shut down, which took me so long to write that nanowrimo also shut down. whee. i have no idea why i never actually posted it? and i guess at some point i assumed i already did it.

i think i'll still post it? for posterity if nothing else. i haven't really been keeping up with empty hell at all so i don't really have any extra updates to add there.

one thing i will have to update is that it took me so long to post the damn thing that the book blog i link to (that has taken up most of my webdev time) is now at a different place so I have to replace the link. it was here on neocities for a while but i moved it over to nekoweb due to ai concerns. there is still an old version of it on neocities. i might update the neocities version at some point, but it definitely won't be kept as current as the nekoweb one (or wherever i end up putting it if i move again).

i mention this in the old update but yeah, it is really frustrating that i put so much effort into restructuring this site to not focus on reviews so much to then start a new site focused on reviews and spend all my time there.

the thing is like. it's just so much more fulfilling to me to bitch about books? cause like, i was gonna do that anyway, i might as well share it with people, and it doesn't super matter if anyone else cares becuase again, i was gonna do that anyway. meanwhile with creative stuff it feels pretty much Entirely made for other people so it really bothers me if no one engages with it, and people can't engage with it if i never finish it or post it or talk about it lol.

i'm trying to get back to tumblr (well, my writer tumblr. i never left my personal lol). i wanna like, do things to make writing More Fun. so like engaging with oc memes or just reblogging posts that remind me of stuff i'm working on. also trying not to worry too much about like, holding back on talking about that kind of stuff because i haven't done enough work on it and i don't have a Product to present to people. like, playing just to play.

i wanna crosspost stuff here so it's here but. that means i have to figure out what kind of formatting i want -_- i've also been thinking about starting a separate blog on a different platform? i know i don't Need another blog but i want to play with shiny new toy lol
